Prepared as a link.

whatimeant.lol turns one sentence into a shareable explanation. The site is built to prepare and serve the link you asked for, then let anyone with that link read the result.
What gets processed
The system handles the sentence or phrase you provide, plus the generated lexical payload: token text, headword, part of speech, definition, usage note, and the overall summary.
Why it is processed
The only product purpose is to prepare and serve the requested share link.
Who can see it
Anyone with the generated link can view the contents. Do not publish secrets, passwords, financial data, medical information, private identifiers, or other sensitive material you would not want to share publicly.
Retention and deletion
- The server-side lexical result is stored in Cloudflare KV for about 30 days.
- A viewed result may remain in that browser’s localStorage until browser or site data is cleared.
- There is currently no self-service deletion option. Stored results generally expire after about 30 days, but earlier removal requires manual access to the stored record.
Third parties
OpenAI processes the sentence inside the private GPT to create the lexical result. The original sentence and generated result are then sent to Cloudflare, which hosts the publishing endpoint and stored result. The publishing endpoint does not make an additional OpenAI API request.
Tracking and browser storage
The site uses browser localStorage to cache viewed results. It does not currently use application-level analytics or cookie-based tracking. Cloudflare may process standard request and network information while providing the site and API infrastructure.
Access control
Creating new links is restricted to an authenticated publishing service. Viewing a generated link does not require authentication.
